When we initially bought this item six months ago, we were taken aback by how cheap it felt (my mom thought it was a toy). But after using it quite often, we found it to be an essential part of our traveling gear. It is very light and portable, and with some practice, it is easy to use.
Pros:
+It fits just about any chair. To make the seat more stable, be sure to pull the straps as tight as they go after you snap them around the chair. The seat is then only as stable as the chair is, so avoid using a wobbly chair.
+I love that the tray gives my son his own table surface when we go out to eat. To put on the tray, you slide the sides onto the armrests to line up the holes with the pegs, then push the holes onto the pegs. This two-step maneuver becomes second nature after a while.
+Because the whole thing is pretty much plastic, it's very easy to keep clean.
+The short "lap space" (distance between the seat and the tray) actually helps keep our child from standing up in the seat. My son makes it a regular practice of wiggle out of high chair straps in our other chair, but the tray on this seat leaves little wiggle room.
+Although I would not strap him in without having the seat strapped to a chair, I have recently started using it as a small chair without the straps or tray. The extension legs make it the perfect height from the floor for a small toddler to sit in.
Cons:
-The design of the tray stinks. The cup holder is bulky, and the tray surface is limited. You can't fit much more than two baby bowls on the tray. Because the "walls" of the tray are high, we can usually use the tray itself as a plate, though it's not so good for teaching baby how to use flatware. Also, cupholder fits only bottles, no cups.
-The strap for the child is built to release both sides with one button, but it doesn't function very well. If you push the button and only one side releases, it's very hard to unstrap the other side. The solution is to put the strap back into place and push the button again.
